राजस्थान की कला

Art of Rajasthan

Perhaps no state's craft identity is as visually dense as Rajasthan's — carved havelis, tie-dyed cloth, painted scrolls, and jewelry work all still practiced at scale.

Cultural Overview

Rajasthan's desert courts supported an unusually wide range of specialist crafts at once: kundan-meenakari jewelry and Jaipur's blue pottery in the capital, miniature painting schools distinct to Mewar, Bundi, and Kishangarh, and the havelis and carved entrance doors that still define towns across Shekhawati.

Notable Art Forms

Textile work runs just as deep: bandhani tie-dye shared with neighboring Gujarat, and narrative phad scrolls sung from rather than only viewed, while a torana hung above nearly every doorway ties the state's textile and architectural crafts together at the household's own threshold.
